Request a visit by a member of the Royal Family
Anyone may extend an invitation to a member of the Royal Family though, because of the numerous demands, there is no certainty that an invitation will be accepted. In all cases, it is best if the invitation is submitted to the Lord-Lieutenant’s office, for onward transmission to the Royal Household. It is not necessary to specify which member of the Royal family. If the invitation is accepted the Lord-Lieutenant will then liaise with the Private Office of the prospective Royal visitor and the host organisation. Once a date has been agreed, the Lord-Lieutenant’s office will then support and guide the host organisation and ensure that the visit runs smoothly and is enjoyed by everyone.
