Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme sets out the timetable for producing the Local Plan, and provides a guide to the documents setting out the council's planning policies.

The government has published legislation and guidance that requires all local authorities to adjust the way they prepare Local Plans. This means we have had to review and replace our original plan‑making timetable to ensure we meet the new legal requirements.

A timetable for the New Local Plan 2025 - 2045 is currently being prepared and will be published here: Notice and timetable for Local Plan 2025 - 2045

The new timetable will formally replace the Local Development Scheme.
