Dangerous tree on your property
If the dangerous tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and/or is within a conservation area, you should submit a five day notice using the TPO application form below with 'Five Day Notice' written across the top and include photographs of the tree:
If a protected tree poses an immediate danger, you can fell it without giving advance notice to us - but you - the owner (and agent, if relevant) has to be able to provide evidence to justify its removal if required.
If the dangerous tree is on your own land and is not protected by a TPO or is not within a conservation area then you should contact a suitably qualified tree surgeon to carry out the necessary work.
