Kington Town Council, Kington Rural and Lower Harpton and Huntington Parish Councils submitted their draft Neighbourhood Development Plan to Herefordshire Council on 3 June 2017.

The consultation ran from 6 June to 17 July 2017.

Regulation 16 plan stage

Kington Town Council, Kington Rural and Lower Harpton and Huntington Parish Councils submitted their Neighbourhood Development Plan to Herefordshire Council on 21 September 2018.

The consultation ran from 3 October to 14 November 2018.

Examination stage

The Kington Area Neighbourhood Development Plan was sent for examination on 10 December 2018. The examiner's report was received on 6 June 2019.

Referendum stage

The referendum for voters within the Kington, Kington Rural and Lower Harpton Group and Huntington parish areas was held on 25 July 2019. Because the number of votes cast in favour of a ‘yes’ vote did not constitute more than half of those voting, the Kington Area Neighbourhood Development Plan will not be made.
