- Can your item be reused?
-
Many of the items we dispose of can have a second life and can be reused. Before visiting a household recycling centre, why not see if you can:
- Repair your items. Visit your local Repair cafe for repairs by skilled volunteers.
- Donate items to charity or a local reuse organisation. Visit our reuse page for more information.
- Sell any reusable items or advertise them for free online on Freegle or other platforms.
Still visiting the household recycling centre, then reuse is still an option. Reuse containers can be found at most of our household recycling centres, where items left will be collected by local charity partners. Please check each centre to see what items can be donated and if you're unsure, ask a member of staff on site.
