Herefordshire Skills Show at Hereford Racecourse on Thursday 8 February 2024
We would like to invite your students to the Herefordshire Skills Show 2024, an event where education and training providers and employers will be showcasing the wide range of career opportunities available in Herefordshire.
Schools and colleges are now complying with provider access legislation and encouraging students to consider apprenticeship and other vocational and technical routes as well as further and higher education.
The Skills Show is a fantastic opportunity for your students to access information, advice and guidance on careers and apprenticeship opportunities available.
Attendance at the show will help to support greater student interaction with employers and supports with the delivery of the Gatsby Benchmarks (in particular benchmarks 5 and 7).
We anticipate over 50 employers, education and training providers being present, showcasing their businesses and the opportunities they have to offer. The event will be informative, inspiring and interactive. Students will be able to find out about a wide variety of jobs and careers and speak with current employees and apprentices.
There will be a range of interactive skill demonstrations allowing them to 'have a go' at something new.
The show will be open from 10am for a quiet hour for students with additional needs.
Transport booking costs will be fully reimbursed. Further details will follow when your booking form is completed.
