School visits
We welcome visits from primary school classes into our public libraries. They are a fantastic way for children to discover what libraries have in store.
We offer free engaging and memorable introductions that help encourage children to read for pleasure, or you can book a visit and lead the session yourself.
Our sessions last 45 minutes and include:
- How to join the library
- How to find books and use the service
- Time for children to browse and help to find books
- Story time
- Chance for children to borrow books on their library cards
Home educated groups are also welcome.
Where can you visit?
All our libraries can host school visits except Peterchurch, our smallest branch.
- Hereford, Ledbury, Leominster, Ross-on-Wye and Bromyard libraries can host visits at any time during the school week.
- Belmont, Kington, Colwall, Leintwardine, Weobley libraries can only accommodate visits outside of opening times. Find library opening times
We look forward to seeing you!
