Examination of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan (MWLP)
The Minerals and Waste Local Plan (MWLP) was submitted for Examination on 22 March 2022, see more details on submission.
As part of the process of preparing the MWLP, it is subject to an Examination in Public. This is a form of public inquiry where an independent Planning Inspector, appointed by the Secretary of State, will test the document to see if it meets the requirements of the relevant legislation and to see if it is 'sound'. Soundness is tested by considering whether the document is positively prepared, justified, effective and consistent with national policy.
The Planning Inspectors carrying out the MWLP Examination are:
- Nick Palmer BA(Hons), BPI, MRTPI and
- Rachael A Bust BSc(Hons), MA, MSc, LLM, PhD, MInstLM, MCMI, MIEnvSci, MRTPI
All communication to and from the Planning Inspector during the Examination will be managed by the appointed Programme Officer, Rosalind Fallon, email Programme.officer2@herefordshire.gov.uk or call 07792 882277.
Main Modifications Consultation
This consultation is now closed.
Examination hearings took place in November 2022 and the Inspectors have compiled a list of proposed Main Modifications to the MWLP. These underwent an eight week public consultation from 26 June to 21 August 2023.
