Herefordshire Council is making emergency funding available to families facing financial hardship.

If you need help paying for food or energy bills visit our emergency welfare support webpage to see if you are eligible for a payment.

A proportion of our household support funding has been set aside for residents who need help the most during the cost of living crisis. This includes those who have not been eligible for other types of government support.

You can apply if you are:

•         A Herefordshire resident over 16 years old, or a member of the armed forces who can demonstrate a strong connection to the county and

•         A person or household experiencing financial hardship who can demonstrate the need for emergency support with essential living costs that cannot be met by other sources

You will need to provide your national insurance number and proof of your financial circumstances, including bank statements.

To make the process as easy as possible, you can apply online or phone our friendly Talk Community customer services team on 01432 383838. We will assess your eligibility for funding and other forms of support from there.
