Local residents are invited to have their say in the exciting redevelopment of Hereford Museum & Art Gallery.

A series of round table meetings will give the community a chance to share their stories, ideas, and suggestions for what they want to see in the new museum.

The Hereford Museum & Art Gallery is undergoing a significant transformation, with the aim of reflecting the diverse heritage of Herefordshire and bringing local history and personal stories to life in engaging and meaningful ways. Community input is at the heart of this project, ensuring the new museum truly represents the rich and varied history of the region.

Damian Etheraads, Museum Lead, said: “The people of Herefordshire are the custodians of its history. The redevelopment is about capturing the rich tapestry of stories, objects, and traditions that make our community unique. We’re excited to hear from local residents and ensure that their voices are reflected in the new museum and gallery.”

Each 90 minute meeting will offer an opportunity for locals to suggest events, traditions, and people that should be featured in the museum. Through these suggestions, the community will help shape the future exhibits of the museum, ensuring it captures the diverse heritage, culture and key moments that are most meaningful to the people of Herefordshire.

Meeting Dates and Locations:

The meetings will begin with a short presentation on the vision for the redeveloped museum, followed by a discussion where participants can share their ideas and insights. This collaborative process ensures that the new museum will be a true reflection of Herefordshire.

The ideas and suggestions gathered at these meetings will play a key role in shaping the museum’s new exhibits and displays. Don't miss this chance to help shape Herefordshire’s history!

These events are made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.
