Herefordshire residents and visitors can enjoy community events and late night shopping in the run-up to Christmas this year, thanks to free parking that has been arranged and funded by Herefordshire Council.

Free parking is available on the dates, times and locations below:

Hereford

Free parking will take place from 4pm on Wednesday 4, Wednesday 11 and Wednesday 18 December, and will apply in all council car parks and on-street pay and display bays.

Ross-on-Wye

Free parking will be available all day on Saturday 7 December.

Leominster

Residents and visitors to Leominster can enjoy free parking for the Victorian Fair all day on Saturday 14 December.

Ledbury

There will be free parking in Ledbury all day on Saturday 7 December.

Kington

Free Christmas Parking is available throughout the Winter Food & Drink Festival, covering the entirety of Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December, with the Friday being funded by Kington Town Council.

Please note this free parking offer does not apply to any private car parks, unless stated. If in doubt look for the ‘free parking’ information signs and check local restrictions.

Councillor Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services, said:

“Christmas is one of the busiest and most important times of the year for local people and businesses, and it is also sees a very high demand for parking. Each year, the council works with Town Councils and the Hereford City BID, to provide free parking at the most beneficial time for local businesses, and we are delighted to continue this support.

“I hope that residents will make the most of the free parking to support their local businesses and communities over the festive period.”
