Could you represent the River Wye on the Wye Catchment Nutrient Management Board?
The Wye Catchment Nutrient Management Board has taken the unusual step of creating a place on the Board for someone to represent the interests of the River Wye, and is now looking to recruit to the position.
The Nutrient Management Board, which meets quarterly, is a forum where a range of stakeholders come together to influence, advise and challenge proposals, plans, decisions and actions that have an impact on the River, and those that deliver improvements.
The Board also works with other organisations and groups to support and progress this work.
The new additional Board member will represent the River Wye, act as the River’s advocate and give the River agency.
The Board is looking for someone who not only cares about the River Wye and catchment, but also understands the science behind nutrient management, has knowledge of existing legislative frameworks and who can work constructively with others.
If you feel that you might be the right person to join the Wye Catchment Nutrient Management Board please get in touch for further information, along with a short explanation about why you think you qualify for the role.
Please email NutrientManagementBoard@herefordshire.gov.uk. by Friday 28 February 2025.
It is not proposed that there is any remuneration for this role, although reasonable expenses will be considered.
