It is now quicker and easier to arrange an appointment with the Registration Service following the launch of a new online booking system.
Booking an appointment with the council’s Registration Service to register a birth, give notice of marriage, or to book a registrar for a wedding, is now much quicker and easier thanks to a new online booking system.
The Registration Service is based at 8 St Owen Street in Hereford. Appointments to visit the service must be booked in advance so that all the correct paperwork can be prepared.
The online booking system allows users to see what appointments are available, and to pay any fees in advance of their appointment making the appointment quicker.
Information about how to book and everything you will need to bring to your appointment is available on the council website.
Elena Maos, Registration Support Assistant
Chris Kelly, Registration and Coroner Service Manager, explains:
“Before the online booking system was introduced it could be difficult for people to get through to us by telephone at busy times. Now people can go onto the system to see what appointments are available and pick their preferred day and time.
“The online system allows users to make their appointment and pay any fees at a time that is convenient to them, rather than having to contact us while the office is open.
“This means that our staff are more readily available on the telephone for people who have other queries or who don’t have online access.”
