Herefordshire Council’s school holidays Easter activity programme is open for bookings.

Herefordshire children receiving free school meals can enjoy a wide range of activities this Easter.

Parents of children (from reception to year 11) who receive free school meals can now book up to four free activity sessions for Easter through the Here for Herefordshire Holidays Programme.

Eligible children will be able to try out new and exciting activities, from trampolining to horse riding, cheerleading, circus school, soccer schools, parkour, Jam Coding, outdoor activities and a farm day for families.

Every child that attends an activity session will be offered a free healthy meal.

Councillor Ivan Powell, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:

“It’s a tough time for families at the moment with the rise in the cost of living and the school holidays add extra pressure, so I’m delighted that we have the funding to keep offering the free activities to eligible families.”

Councillor Carole Gandy, Cabinet Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing, added:

“Working with our fantastic activity providers, our Talk Community Team are able to offer children the opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, connect with nature and have fun over Easter.”

The Here for Herefordshire Holidays programme is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by Herefordshire Council’s Talk Community team.
