Save a local service
Through Community Rights measures in the Localism Act, individuals, communities and parish councils can work together to protect and preserve local community assets such as the local shop, pub or post office.

BT telephone box consultation 2021
British Telecommunications (BT) are holding a review of seven payphones in Herefordshire in spring 2021. To ensure that local communities and regular users of the payphones are informed, BT has placed consultation notices in the relevant phone boxes and Herefordshire Council have directly contacted all the affected parish and town councils and ward members with affected phone boxes.
The consultation process gives the options to agree with removal of the phone box, to adopt a phone box as an asset for the local community or the right to object to the removal on relevant grounds.
You can view our local response, which has been through the Herefordshire Council decision making process.
Notifications will be sent to British Telecommunications and the Secretary of State, as required by Ofcom.
