Electric vehicle charging locations
Our electric vehicle charge points
Herefordshire Council car parks currently contain a combination of fast and rapid chargepoints.
All charge points in council car parks are operated by Wenea, with the exception of the 50kW chargers that are run by SWARCO.
You can get a free 30-minute parking ticket to display in your electric or hybrid vehicle at council-owned, off-street car parks, while you plug in and charge.
Electricity at all charge points in council car parks is subject to a fee, payable to the charge point operator.
The tariff is usually shown on the charge point, and will also be available on the charge point provider's app.
Please note, the Alfen chargers cannot be paid for with a debit or credit card. Please pay for use of these chargers via the Wenea app - registration is not required.

These charging points are part of the national network. Check availability and charge tariff on a number of live maps including the Wenea live map and the SWARCO Econnect live map.

Suggest locations for charge points
We are looking for potential new locations for public charge points, particularly to support residents that have to park on-street. If you own or are thinking of buying an electric vehicle (EV) and would like to suggest a location for a new charge point - please complete our charge point suggestion form.
Please note, only installs on Herefordshire Council owned land can be considered currently. If you have a location suggestion for somewhere else, such as a supermarket car park, please contact the land owner directly to find out about their EV infrastructure plans.
