A dropped kerb allows vehicles to cross the pavement from the road to a driveway.

Before making an application to drop the kerb at a property, please read the dropped kerb guidance document. This will help you to decide if you wish to apply and whether you also need planning permission.

There is a non-returnable fee of £100 to apply for a dropped kerb.

If your application is successful there is a further fee of £120 to pay before you start constructing your new dropped kerb.

To complete the application you will need:

• A sketch showing where you would like to drop the kerb
• The planning application number, if planning permission is required
• Bank details to complete the online payment
