Bintuition
Bintuition is our campaign to educate everyone to take more responsibility for waste by not dropping litter and encouraging everyone to take their litter home with them.
There are around 1,400 litter bins across Herefordshire, and we empty all of them regularly, but sometimes they can fill up before we get to them.
Litter in public places and along the county's trunk roads has a negative impact on us all as residents, visitors and on the reputation of the county. Collecting and disposing of litter costs the county over £1 million every year, with particular problem areas including road verges, laybys, highways and footways, where people will often stop to eat or drink and discard their litter.
Through this campaign we are encouraging everyone to:
- Respect our beautiful environment in Herefordshire and dispose of litter and waste correctly
- If a bin is full then take your litter away with you and either use the next bin you find, or take it home and bin it there
- Let us know if you see a full or damaged litter bin - they can sometimes fill up before we get to them. You can call us 01432 261800 or report a full or damaged litter bin online.
- Report any flytipping you come across
If you would like to do more why not join an existing litter pick or if you know of a problem area then you could organise your own litter pick.
So please use your ‘bintuition’ and together we can help keep Herefordshire beautiful and litter free.
