The benefits of transferring to us

As well as our normal benefits, we offer experienced carers a range of perks:
 

 
 Access to wider council support - direct access to support from us, including family support workers and therapeutic fostering support from Safe Connections.

 
 Regular placements - working directly with us gives you the opportunity for more regular placements that better match your skills and experience.

 
 Less travel time - supporting only Herefordshire's young people means less travel time out of county.

 
 Not for profit - our matching is based around the needs of the child and you, not profit.

Your fast track to us

We offer experienced carers a quicker approval process.

• We will not contact your current agency until you've had time to discuss your plans with them.
• As an approved foster carer you don't need to re-do your Form F assessment. We will complete an updated assessment, but this can be done much quicker. We will ask to access information from your agency to inform this assessment.
• We will assess your professional experience and may offer some tailored refresher training, but you will not have to complete the Skills to Foster course again.
• You will then be invited to attend Fostering Panel with your Fostering Social Worker for them to consider your new terms of approval. The Agency Decision Maker will then make a decision regarding your new approval terms.
• We will arrange a transfer meeting with your agency to ensure a smooth transition for you and any children you may be caring for.
