The Friends of Herefordshire Archive
The Friends of Herefordshire Archive were formed to support the work of the record office and continue to do so in a number of ways:
- They provide financial support through an emergency document purchase fund, for items that come up for sale or auction that are not within the scope of the record office budget
- They undertake indexing and cataloguing projects for the office
- They lobby on behalf of the office wherever appropriate
- They assist at record office events
Donations are always welcome. Membership is open to all those interested in our local archives, you can also download a membership form and return it to the Membership Secretary, c/o Herefordshire Archives Service either by email to archives@herefordshire.gov.uk or by post to Friends of Herefordshire Record Office, Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre, Fir Tree Lane, Rotherwas, Hereford HR2 6LA, or call +44 (0)1432 260750.
There are regular meetings including social evenings. Members receive a quarterly newsletter with articles, news and information about records.
Subscriptions run annually from 1 April to 31 March, and are:
