This is a small drawstring bag with a political slogan print design. The decorative pattern of corn sheaves and the repeated use of the word 'FREE' suggests the bag was made at the time of the Repeal of the Corn Laws in 1846. It was probably used by a woman associated with the Anti-Corn Law League. Brown velvet with a brown cord fringe and outer edges. Brown cord drawstring through ring (metal) carriers.
