Herefordshire Council

  • Herefordshire Council takes care of the county. Responsible for a range of vital services for people and businesses within the area, including social care, housing and planning, waste collection, licensing, business support, registrar services and pest control to name a few.
  • We offer a range of early career opportunities including work experience placements and apprenticeships.
  • We are really pleased to be able to support the event again this year and look forward to sharing further information on the day.

Wye Valley Group

  • Wye Valley Group consists of several companies: Wye Valley Metals, Wye Valley Skips, Wye Valley Demolition, Warehouse 701, Auto-Breakers, Hereford Quarries, Sigeric Ltd and Hereford Self Storage.
  • The Group employs over 150 local staff, and is the single largest waste recycling facility in Herefordshire. Wye Valley Group handle national recycling contracts, with companies such as Network Rail, and supply material to steelworks and foundries across the UK.
  • Each individual business supports the others in their operations, and all form part of the recycling chain.

HWGTA

  • Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association (HWGTA) is an independent training provider with an Ofsted outstanding rating.
  • We offer apprenticeships in accountancy business administration, customer service, engineering and management. Priding ourselves on supporting learners to gain knowledge, skills and behaviours in their chosen pathways, while meeting the needs of local employers.

Oscar's Tree Academy CIC

  • Education resources for outdoor learning and the Early Years-KS2 and SEN sector.

Herefordshire Council SAFE team

  • The SAFE Team provide support for young people who are at risk of contextual safeguarding outside of the home and online. We provide resources for young people, parents, carers, and professionals

University of Worcester

  • The University of Worcester is a close-knit and high-achieving community where students are supported to succeed at every level. Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College

Newton Farm Community Association

  • We are a local charity with a community hub and community shop, which funds the hub.
  • Encouraging people to volunteer to gain confidence, skills and some to move onto paid work

Hereford Cathedral

  • Hereford Cathedral has been at the centre of Christian Worship in Herefordshire since the seventh century. Today, the Cathedral has a thriving congregation and welcomes over 120,000 visitors a year.
  • The Cathedral's Library and Archives have a varied collection including from the eighth century Hereford Gospels, the Mappa Mundi and the Chained Library. The Mappa Mundi and Chained Library are on permanent display in an exhibition which welcomes over 30,000 visitors a year.

Youth Employment Hub

  • If you are aged 16 to 24 our local hub is dedicated to helping you into employment, education or training.
  • Whether it is help searching for a job or apprenticeship, careers advice, workshops on confidence, money management, wellbeing and more.

Hereford College of Arts

  • For more than 170 years, Hereford College of Arts has trained aspiring artists to make their mark on the world. Today the college is recognised as one of the UK's leading institutions dedicated to providing students with outstanding arts education through an individual approach to teaching and discovery.
  • Our two campuses are home to more than 600 students across post-16, foundation, degree and post graduate courses.

Riverside Training

  • Government-approved training provider with a wealth of apprenticeship knowledge gained over 25 years of experience in the industry.
  • We work nationally with a very broad and diverse range of organisations from primary schools through to the NHS, providing them with a range of apprenticeship programmes and recruitment services. We have worked with over 500 businesses and our clients have included BMW, Close Brothers, Balfour Beatty, Eurostar, Anchor Hanover and Portman Dental.

National Horseracing College

  • The 12-week residential Foundation Course is open to everyone age 16+ from the UK and overseas. The Foundation Course is the starting point for those completing full-time education. No academic qualifications are required and learners can follow either a riding or a non-riding pathway. This course is tailored to accommodate those with no previous horse experience through to those with considerable horse experience but limited or no racing experience.
  • Upon successful completion of the Foundation Course learners are secured a six-week work placement in a racehorse trainer's yard. There are over 500 racehorse trainers in the UK, the placement is chosen in consultation with the learner and their family. It is anticipated the work placement will become a permanent, full-time position where learners will be employed as a Racing Groom. The opportunity to progress onto a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Racehorse Care will also present. Accommodation is typically provided along with employment in a racing stable.

NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire

  • Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System bring together all organisations involved in providing health and care services to make things better for patients and residents. Our NHS Trusts provides community and hospital-based services from three main sites across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care Trust is the main provider of mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages experiencing both physical and mental health conditions.
