Apply for a resident parking permit

Residents' parking permits are available only to residents living in a parking scheme zone. They give residents and their visitors a better chance of parking close to where they live or are visiting.

We operate residents' parking schemes in Bromyard, Colwall, Hereford, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.

Evidence you will need to provide

Visitor permits:
  • Proof of your residential address. If you are listed as being liable for the Council Tax at the property you can tick a box on the form to allow us to check the Council Tax register.
Otherwise you will need to upload evidence that you live at the address.

Only one visitor permit is allowed for each property. This is part of your permit allowance.

Vehicle permits

You will need to have the following to upload:

The number of vehicle permits you can apply for depends on your parking zone.

Permit costs

  • The annual cost for permits is £30 for the vehicle permit plus £30 for the visitor permit.
  • Where the scheme allows, a third permit costs £75 and fourth or fifth permits cost £100 per year each.
  • To change the vehicle registration number on your vehicle permit there is a cost of £10.

Lost permits

We do not reissue lost visitor permits; see point 15 in the terms and conditions. You will have to wait until the visitor permit has expired and reapply

Renew in time

We do not issue permit reminder letters. We recommend that you renew your permit in plenty of time before the expiry date - at least two weeks to allow applications to be processed and posted.

If your permit has expired, you must find alternative parking until you receive a relevant valid permit. You cannot park in a permit zone while waiting to receive your valid permit.
