Ethan's story
Ethan was one of the first young people to join the Youth Employment Hub (YEH) and assisted the team by cutting the ribbon at the official opening ceremony in February.
Ethan already had experience as a sports coach and was keen to pursue this as a career. The YEH team helped Ethan update his CV and encouraged him to apply for an apprenticeship. Following a successful application process he secured an apprenticeship in Herefordshire.
Ethan said: "I was really proud to have been chosen to officially open the Youth Employment Hub by cutting the ribbon. Since joining the hub I've gained a lot more confidence in myself. The team have helped me to update my CV, so it's now in the right format and they encouraged me to successfully apply for a Community Sport and Health Officer apprenticeship with Activate Sports Education."
Throughout his time with the hub, Ethan has shown a strong work ethic, determination and a willingness to learn. His story is a shining example of what can be achieved with perseverance and the right support. We wish Ethan all the best with his apprenticeship.
