Your Council Tax bill shows how much different authorities receive for providing local services. Below is an example breakdown of these charges, which are known as precepts.

An average band D property will now pay Council Tax at £2,449.17. This includes the council's own Council Tax charge (£1,969.36) plus the charges set by each parish council, the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia, and Hereford and Worcester Fire Authority.
